We originally thought of releasing the lines we have completed individually. However, we think it will be easier to release the full (but incomplete) Island of Sodor network. Within this network, the lines that have pretty much been fully completed are:

• Skarloey Railway
• Mid Sodor Railway
• Arlesdale branch
• China Clay branch
• Industrial lines around Vicarstown/Barrow

A couple of things to bear in mind about this route. Back when we started this project in late 2016 we only really envisaged building the Skarloey Railway in the TVS style. However, as things progressed we took more and more inspiration from the RWS, and eventually started adding scenery using our own creative preferences. Once we finished the SKR however, we thought it useful to add other bits and pieces here and there, and slowly included more and more track, until we pretty much had all the lines on the original Awdry map. We began adding scenic items here and there, and by 2021 we have pretty much fully completed the original Skarloey Railway, the Mid Sodor Railway, the Arlesburgh branch, the China Clay branch, and finally the industrial lines around Vicarstown/Barrow.  However, due to multiple reasons, we've only been able to work on the route quite sparingly over the last couple of years. All three of us are engineers in the UK railway sector, and we more often than not find that we've had quite enough of trains by the time we get to enjoy some time off. 

The purpose of releasing this route is to give everyone the chance to drive some of their favourite Sodor locos in train sim. We do want to make it clear that anyone is welcome to edit their copy of the route, and if you are particularly proud of your creations, you can always let us know and we might include it in the next revision.

However, we have to be honest and say that currently we don't foresee us completing this route. We are all quite busy, and quite keen to get onto other trainsim projects. We don't want people reaching out asking when we're planning on releasing new sections or updating existing ones. Additionally, we don't want people to ask why certain sections/stations don't look like they do in a particular RWS illustration, or in a TVS scene. We have not set out to create an exact copy of anything, and focused mostly on the functionality of the railways of Sodor as described by Awdry.

That being said, we hope you all enjoy! The route comes with four blank scenarios ready for you to fill with all the locos and stock you want! Just place the downloaded file into your TS2021 route folder and you should be good to go (check route requirements below).
